The 250 TS in General

The 250 TS lunched in the spring of 1973 and started sales next year being one of the first bikes produced during the De Tomaso period. It was derived from a similar Benelli model, produced in order to give Guzzi an immediate placement in the middleweight segment. Unlike the Benelli version it had light alloy barrel castings with chrome bores instead of cast iron. This resulted to an increase in output and a loss of weight. It also had

an electronic capacitor – discharge ignition. In 1975 changes like a front disk brake replacing the two leading shoes drum brake, a passenger grab rail and different instrument case appeared. Given the bike’s sporting characteristics it was never decided to fit an electric starter, in an attempt to avoid excess weight.

A few words about the motorcycle on sale


It’s 1979 model bought from a Guzzi enthusiast near Athens. It was a project bike waiting for its restoration time.

Years ago we had bought a stock of NOS parts for the 250TS and it was the opportunity to use them. So new were the cylinder heads, the instruments, the rear fender, rear light, silencers and down pipes, disk and drum brakes, filter box, turn signals, shocks, switches, handlebar, engine covers, side covers and many more.

Special attention was paid to the engine, the gearbox and the electrics. When the works finished after 2 years or so, the bike looked and was ridden like new.

It is certified by FIVA as A3 class historic vehicle gaining the benefits of this certification. It also has historic registration plates. Test ride and inspection accepted.
