The 1000 SP in General
The SP1000 was designed as the factory's touring flagship, and was based on the very successful mechanics of the Le Mans series (frame, engine, transmission, suspension, etc).
The fairings were designed with the aid of the factory's well known wind tunnel, aiming at maximising aerodynamic protection.
The combination of top roadholding abilities (thanks to Le Mans "genes") with efficient aerodynamic protection, attention in built quality from the factory and the unique presence of Guzzi's transverse V2, make the SP1000 an excellent classic touring bike, able for any classic event, but also for any trip, regardless of distance.
A few words about the motorcycle on sale
It is built in 1982, and was sold new in Greece in 1986. It was bought by its present owner in 1989, who since has been maintaining it with thoroughness and love, always keeping it to factory specs and "ready to roll". It was restored in 2009.
Also given together set of period rack and side panniers from Krauzer.
It FIVA certified (class A3), and state number plates are temporarily returned.
